Once again the region’s best resort—and Teeth of the Dog the number-one course— as named by the Caribbean’s leading digital newspaper
Casa de Campo has been named the best resort, and its “Teeth of the Dog” the best course, by Caribbean Journal, the leading digital newspaper covering the region.
In the Journal’s annual “Golf List,” just published, the famous golf resort on the southern coast of Dominican Republic captured top honors. This goes along with many other awards, including being named one of the world’s top golf and top family resorts by Andrew Harper’s Hideaway Report. Casa de Campo also captured every leading golf, hotel, and resort award at the 2012 Caribbean and Americas World Travel Awards, many of them for numerous consecutive years.
Along with top honors for the resort, Caribbean Journal named Casa de Campo’s “Teeth of the Dog” the region’s finest golf course. In citing both, the Journal wrote:
The famed 7,000-acre Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican
Republic’s La Romana boasts what is widely considered the best resort in
the Caribbean – Pete Dye’s Teeth of the Dog. Dye himself said seven
holes were “created by God.” You be the judge. (It also includes Dye’s
“Dye Fore” course.)
